Weekend vibes

People like to say the Old West was lawless.

It wasn’t.

It had laws.

What it didn’t always have was somebody close enough to enforce them.

That’s an important distinction.

A sheriff might be fifty miles away. A judge might come through twice a year. The nearest doctor might be a day’s ride, assuming your horse was sound and the weather cooperated.

So people learned something we’ve mostly forgotten:

There is a considerable difference between the law and help.

The law could tell you who was right.

Help had to arrive in time to matter.

And sometimes, between the moment trouble started and the moment civilization finally caught up, all a person had was his judgment, his nerve, his horse—

and whatever Mr. Colt or Mr. Winchester had sold him.

That’s the world of 𝑨𝒕𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒅.

And it’s the world that made 𝑩𝒓𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌.

People are killing family members under the label of psychosis. When that excuse mistrials, they recent their admission for a stronger defense strategy. Justice is failing the 3 innocents that were murdered. The court is supposed to be an advocate for the innocent defenseless children. I have compassion for the murderer who had struggles, but her health factors shouldn't change accountability for the defenseless children. She documented months in advance of the deaths her concerns she would harm them. Then when trial strategy failed to acquit , voices are discussed? That is as flimsy as Caleb Flynn's mysterious intruder that killed Ashley! No mental health facility, justice for Cora,Dawson, and all requires more. Prison can supply mental health care and medications behind bars.
